The Black Diamond Active Community Kids Teen Council meets each Tuesday evening from 6pm to 8pm during the school year to discuss and plan educational events for the greater Black Diamond area. The BACK Teen Council focuses on a variety of issues, tobacco prevention, drug and alcohol awareness, domestic violence, etc. Our Teen Council has been the first teen group in the state of Washington to lead an initiative to ban smoking on a city level within 50 feet of any public place. The BACK Teen Council has been involved in conferences such as Peers Educating Peers, South King County Youth Violence Prevention Committee, the Game of Life with the City of Kent's Police Department, Drug Abuse Resistance Education, and many others.
